Sanskrit text and grammatical analysis

Digital Corpus of Sanskrit (DCS), by Oliver Hellwig. Sanskrit segmentation, lemmas and grammar: Digital Corpus of Sanskrit (DCS), Oliver Hellwig, CC BY 4.0, https://github.com/OliverHellwig/sanskrit

The Sanskrit text of the Bhagavad Gītā itself is ancient and in the public domain. We follow the 700-verse text with Śaṅkara's numbering. We checked it verse by verse against the Sanskrit Wikisource edition of the Gītā (https://sa.wikisource.org/), and only the public-domain verse text was used for that check.

Translations and word meanings

The English and Hindi translations and word-by-word meanings in Shloka Scroll are our own. They are written fresh from the Sanskrit and the DCS grammatical analysis, with AI assistance. They are in beta: review by human Sanskrit and Hindi reviewers is under way, and translations marked "Beta" in the app haven't finished review yet. Corrections are welcome through Suggest a correction in the app.

We do not use, and did not consult, any modern copyrighted translation or commentary.
